A liquid concentrate for the fast and eco- nomical disinfection of dental impression.

  • 3 Advantages
  • Abundant concentrate
including measuring lid. Save up to 500% with a simple application
  • Cutting-edge formula and substances
Guaranteed to retain the form stability and material compatibility without discoloration of the impressions
  • Short exposure times
Increased safety – works within 3 minutes
The concentrate, developed using latest scientific findings, allows for gentle and yet very efficient and quick disinfection of dental impressions, impression trays, orthodontic items, dental lab instruments and prosthetic material. Tests show that the dimensional stability of impressions made of alginate, polyether, polysulfide, A-silicone, and K-silicone or plaster compatibility remain unaffected. No discoloration or blood- and protein fixation will occur on the treated material thanks to the absence of aldehydes. In addition, a careful selection of tensides ensures strong cleaning power and eliminates the need for pre-cleaning of the objects even in the presence of high organic contamination. The strong concentrate is up to 50 times more abundant than a conventional product while allowing for easy application.
PROSEPT® Impression is easily biodegradable and is pleasantly fragranced. A specially designed lid with a 20 ml dosage marker ensures easy handling and high dosage accuracy resulting in a more ecological and economical use of the product.

Easy to use

Just follow these easy steps:

  • Wear single-use gloves and goggles.
  • Prepare working solution according to the instructions on the label and use the scale markings on the inside of the lid.
  • Immerse the impression materials to be disinfected and ensure that materials are completely covered. The air must completely vacate all cavities.
  • Strictly follow exposure times. Do not exceed them.
  • Rinse thoroughly with cold water after disinfection.
  • Change solution once or twice a week depending on the degree of contamination. Replacing the solution daily is highly recommended when contamination is apparent. Test for material compatibility before using.

Do you have the same questions?

Our R&D team answers:

  • Why do impressions need to be disinfected before sending them to the dental technician?
Every impression that comes into contact with the mucous membrane of the patient should be considered contaminated. Thus, the cleaning and disinfection take place immediately after removal in order to eliminate any possible risk of infection.
  • Should the disinfectant for impressions also have cleaning properties?
Yes, absolutely. Before disinfection, the impressions are only rinsed under running water. Traces of blood or protein may still be attached to the impression. These must be removed by the cleaning properties of the disinfectant.
  • Why is an immersion disinfection better than disinfection with a surface disinfectant?
The advantage of an immersion disinfection is that all surfaces can be completely coated and that there are no gaps of effectiveness. However, it is important to make sure that no bubbles form during immersion. Furthermore, immersion disinfection avoids the hazardous aerosol that is created by spray disinfection.
  • How long does the disinfection of impressions take?
Impression disinfectants were designed to be fast-acting. An exposure time of more than five minutes can cause the impressions to lose their form stability. A disinfection with PROSEPT® Impression takes only three minutes.
