Do you have the same questions?
Our R&D team answers:
- How should I disinfect instruments?
The two options are chemical disinfection in an instrument tray and thermal disinfection in a thermal disinfector. For the chemical disinfection, using the correct concentration of the disinfectant and adhering to the correct exposure time are essential for a successful disinfection. - In what order should I reprocess the used surgical instruments?
The instruments should first be disinfected, then cleaned, dried, and packaged. Sterilization is the last step. - How long can a prepared solution of PROSEPT® Instru be used?
Depending on the degree of contamination by the used instruments, PROSEPT® Instru can be used for up to a week. However, the VAH (Society for Applied Hygiene) recommends preparing a new ready-to-use solution for each working day. - Do reprocessed instruments left on the instrument tray require renewed reprocessing?
As long as the packaging was not opened or damaged, unused instruments can be resterilized in the same sterile packaging. In such a case, the instruments do not need to be cleaned or disinfected again. If there are ever any doubts regarding the safety or hygiene of the instruments, the instruments must undergo the complete reprocessing cycle
