- When should I wash my hands?
Hands must be washed before and after the working day, and if there is any visible contamination. After washing your hands, a hand lotion should be used to care for the skin. - How do I properly wash my hands?
Hands should be washed with cold water and a mild soap such as PROSEPT® Hand Wash. Hand washing should follow the same motion patterns as during hand disinfection. After washing hands, all remaining soap must be carefully rinsed away with water to prevent skin irritation. - What should I consider for general hand hygiene?
(1) Use a suitable nail brush to clean dirty fingernails, but do not use it on the skin. (2) Soap residue must be thoroughly rinsed away, as it can potentially damage the skin. (3) After washing your hands, carefully dry them with a disposable towel. (4) Hand disinfectants may only be used on dry hands. (5) During the exposure time, the disinfectant should be spread on the hands using the prescribed motion patterns. The disinfectant may not be allowed to dry before the end of the exposure time. (6) Only put on gloves once the hands have completely dried. (7) Regular hand care with a remoisturizing lotion is absolutely required. - What else can I do to further protect my hands?
It is very important to always use cold water and to thoroughly rinse away all remaining soap. Should skin irritations occur, a patch test with the ingredients of the soap can be conducted to examine the possibility of an allergic reaction.
