OCC Switzerland is a family-owned business established in 1969 with 40 years of experience in developing and manufacturing cleaning liquids and disinfectants. Our products are relied upon in over 60 countries throughout the world including markets in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.  OCC Switzerland is certified for compliance with the extremely strict ISO 9001/2000 and ISO 13485 standards. We manufacture premium disinfection and cleaning products for hospitals, dental clinics, and numerous other sectors that require high-quality disinfectants. OCC is dedicated to cutting-edge development and production of disinfectants of exceptional quality. We continue to invest heavily in the research and development activities to create and enhance existing products and services in order to provide the highest-quality disinfectants on today’s market. We refuse to rest on our past achievements; with the aim of protecting public health, we forge ahead into the future in the pursuit of new and better forms of disinfection.

OCC is owned and operated in Switzerland, where we also run our own research and development facilities. Since its establishment in 1969, OCC Switzerland is dedicated to the manufacturing of new and more effective broad-spectrum products to battle the ever-increasing number of resistant strains of bacteria and viruses. The company philosophy is based on the development of first-class disinfectants utilizing premium raw materials.

We currently offer four brands, each with unique qualities that offer our customers a broad selection:

  • OROCLEAN® - Because Quality Matters: This brand offers a powerful combination of features: broad effective spectra, lightning short exposure times, flexibility, multiple attractive fragrances and environmental awareness through the use of the most sophisticated ingredients and a low alcohol content.
  • PROSEPT® - Because Science Matters: The PROSEPT® Brand is a no-nonsense product line combining powerful disinfecting and cleaning capabilities and an economical low-cost, high-volume approach.
  • CLEANSEPT® - Because Power Matters: Extremely potent disinfectants whose goal is to reach high risk areas killing germs which are resistant to other disinfectants utilizing the most powerful ingredients available. If all else fails, CLEANSEPT® will be there for you!  

OCC manufactures and supplies solutions, foams, and concentrates, as well as pre-moistened disposable wipes for rapid cleaning and disinfection. Products are also offered in varying sizes to meet the individual needs of our customers. Research and development is our backbone and our slogan is “Killing Germs for a Safer World”. Our long-term mission is to support doctors, nurses, and dental professionals as they wage war against deadly pathogens for our common good.

Here are just a few of the achievements we have had the honor of offering to world of science:

  • In 1986, we developed a safe fast-acting disinfectant for instruments, effective against the hepatitis B virus. We were the first Swiss company to do so. 
  • In 1991, we addressed increasing concerns about the transmission of disease associated with the use of turbines, hand-pieces, and contra-angles. In collaboration with Prof. Dr. Guggenheim of the University of Zürich we designed a disinfectant that specifically addressed the unique needs involved in the cleaning and sterilization of these instruments.
  • In 1996, we became the first Swiss dental company to be certified according to the EN 46001 and 93/42/EEC standards.
  • In 2000, we introduced an impression concentrate to be used as a 2 percent solution which inactivates germs in only 2 minutes. The exceptional material compatibility achieved with this innovative product resulted in partnerships with major impression material manufacturers.
  • In 2007, we launched a floor disinfectant in conjunction with a specially designed floor wiper. With 1 liter concentrate, one can disinfect up to 10’000 m2 of floor area.
